Feralco Iberia, involved in its commitment to the quality of its products and its concern for the environment, is pleased to announce that it has recently implemented an adiabatic cooling system in the production process of its Valdemoro plant. This unit is specifically designed to cool the air used in the cooling process of the final product.

Adiabatic cooling is a process that takes advantage of the thermodynamic properties of air to reduce the temperature of an environment. Unlike other cooling systems that require high energy consumption, such as vapor compression systems, adiabatic cooling uses the principle of water evaporation to cool the air efficiently and sustainably.

The implementation of this cooling system allows Feralco Iberia to improve the quality of its final product by reducing its temperature. This is beneficial, since the chemical product at a lower temperature is less aggressive with storage and handling facilities, thus also meeting the requirements of its customers from both a quality and safety point of view.

In addition to the benefits in product quality, the adiabatic cooling system also contributes to reducing the company's water consumption, improving its environmental performance. Unlike other cooling methods that require large amounts of water, adiabatic cooling uses a closed water circuit that makes it much more efficient. This has allowed Feralco Iberia to reduce its water consumption in the production process, creating a positive impact on the environment by decreasing the use of water resources.
